FDA panel urges stricter Rezulin warnings
Article Abstract:
An FDA panel ruled that Rezulin should only be used by diabetics in combination therapies and when other therapies have failed. It asked the FDA to require the packaging of the drug to include warnings on the risk of liver failure. The panel also said that the drug's effectiveness in lowering the blood sugar of patients outweigh the risks of liver damage. Rezulin manufacturer Warner-Lambert welcomed the panel's recommendations and said that these reaffirm the fact that the drug's benefits outweigh its risks.

Fed up at the pharmacy
Article Abstract:
A new trend in the food service industry is the growing number of pharmacy-themed restaurants. An example is the Barmacy in New York City, NY, which is actually a bar but whose drinks are named after famous drugs such as Xanax, Viagra and Librium. Another restaurant belonging to this category is the Pharmacy in England, which sounds like a pharmacy but is actually as restaurant. Nevertheless, it offers beverages whose names are drugs-related such as Anaesthetic Compound, Retarding Agent and Voltarol.
