Piping hot
Article Abstract:
There are few attractive features about the English organ tradition, according to organist Wayne Marshall. He focuses on exploiting the unique qualities of each organ he plays and on making the organ sound as much like an orchestral instrument as possible. He is a very talented pianist, but feels that there are already too many people playing the piano to a very high standard. He has been particularly influenced by US organist Virgil Fox, who gave a talk before each of his performances.

Article Abstract:
Master classes are a waste of time, according to pianist Ivo Pogorelich. He does not believe that people who are talented musicians are necessarily very good teachers, and feels that being a teacher requires full commitment. As a native of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, he is very concerned about the current conflict there, and is also worried about the Slav race in general. He believes that there are problems with the Slav mentality.

Article Abstract:

She believes that image is important, especially for female musicians, but is also aware that only the quality of her performances will ensure a truly successful career. She is taking care not to fall in to the trap of being a tool of marketing agents.
