Products of more than one country
Article Abstract:
Seymour Powell design products in a London, England studio but their products are made by Japanese, Dutch and French companies. They designed a best-selling cordless kettle for the French company Tefal. This is popular in Britain but the French and Italians traditionally use pans to boil water and rarely drink tea or instant coffee. Seymour Powell have designed the 'classic' toaster for Tefal, Calor vacuum cleaners, a Clairol hairdryer and won the design for the British Rail InterCity 250 electric train which BR cannot afford to finance.

A big cube in the country
Article Abstract:
The White House at Haslemere, England, which was designed by architects Connell Ward and Lucas and built in 1932, was initially portrayed as belonging to the Cubist or Modern movements in architecture. However, it is actually much less smooth and severe than early photographs indicate, and has as many associations with Art Deco design than with Cubism or Modernism. It has mellowed even further as the garden has matured and cottage-like extension has been added.
