Professor Albrecht Frohlich

Mathematician Albrecht Frohlich was born in Munich, Germany, in 1916. He moved to Palestine after his father was attacked by the Nazis, and worked in a number of manual jobs. He studied Mathematics at Bristol University, England, and in 1955 gained a Readership in Mathematics at King's College, London, England.

Professor Leslie Howarth

Mathematician Leslie Howarth was born in 1911. He studied mathematics at Manchester University, England, and then at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, England. He gained his PhD in 1936 and became a Fellow of King's College and a Lecturer in Mathematics at Cambridge University.
