Christopher Dow
Article Abstract:
Economist Christopher Dow studied at University College London and served in the Royal Air Force during the second world war. He joined the Treasury as an Economic Adviser in 1945. He moved to the National Institute for Economic and Social Research in 1954, and from 1963 to 1973 was Assistant Secretary-General at the OECD in Paris, France. He was Executive Director at the Bank of England between 1973 and 1981 and Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of England between 1981 and 1984.

Professor Charles Kennedy
Article Abstract:
Economist Charles Kennedy was elected as Fellow in Economics at Queen's College, Oxford, England, in 1948, having gained a first in PPE from Balliol College in 1942. His early research work focused on monetary theory and welfare economics, but he later turned his attention to capital theory, growth economics and technical progress. He gained a Chair of Economics at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica in 1961, and worked there for five years.

David Worswick
Article Abstract:
Economist David Worswick was born in London, England, in 1916. He studied Mathematics at New College, Oxford, England, and in 1940 joined the research staff of the Oxford Institute of Statistics.
