Professor Susan Strange
Article Abstract:
Scholar of international relations Susan Strange gained a First in Economics from the London School of Economics during the second world war. She began working as a journalist, and also began to teach at University College London in 1949. She became a research fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in 1965, and in 1971 wrote 'Sterling and British Policy.' Other academic positions included German Marshall Fund Fellow at the London School of Economics between 1976 and 1978.

Professor E.C. Riley
Article Abstract:
Hispanist Edward Riley was born in Mexico City, Mexico, in 1923. He studied French and Spanish at Queen's College, Oxford, England, before serving in the Navy during the second world war. He was Professor of Hispanic Studies at Edinburgh University, Scotland, between 1970 and 1989.

Professor Michael Leifer

Scholar of international relations Michael Leifer was born in London, England, in 1933. He studied Political Economy at Reading University, England, and completed his doctoral thesis in 1959. He then became Lecturer in Politics at Adelaide University, Australia.
