Prosperity is making paupers out of all of us
Article Abstract:
It is becoming increasingly clear that prosperity does not necessarily bring a perfect lifestyle. UK society generates huge amounts of money, but this is not spent wisely. There is a growing gap between rich and poor, and society as a whole is suffering from a spiritual malaise. Many people have lost contact with the traditional culture in which people derived pleasure from the simple things in life, such as gardening and cooking. Consumerism has replaced creativity. and people devote far too much time to working and shopping.
