Rescuing a travesty
Article Abstract:
A garden which has been badly neglected can present many challenges. It is best to start by making repairs to walls and fences, then to consider which plants will thrive in the conditions which the garden offers. Any plants which are growing too vigorously, such as ivy, must be prevented from spreading any further, and it may be advisable to concentrate planting in a few small areas initially. It may be worth returfing the lawn, but this must only be undertaken if the ground underneath is loosened and enriched at the same time.
