Revenge of the sound pirates
Article Abstract:
Art of Noise's Trevor Horn does not think it strange that the group is using Debussy's music from which to generate its new album, 'The Seduction of Claude Debussy.' He feels that there is a continuity between the patterned edits and beats of the group's early work and the more oceanic sounds of this album. Paul Morley believes that Debussy opened up many possibilities in 20th century music. He regards this as appropriate for a group concerned with raiding the 20th century.

Kesey rides again
Article Abstract:
Novelist Ken Kesey is using his Magic Bus as a way of escaping the isolation of writing. Through the Magic Bus, he involves himself in interactive theatre with others who wish to participate. There are currently up to 40 people travelling on the bus and in a convoy of mini vans. Some of them participated in the original Magic Bus trip across the US in 1964. His month-long tour of the UK is only taking place because of financial assistance from Channel 4.
