Ricky was a difficult child, he used to stab his mum
Article Abstract:
There has been a sharp rise in the number of young people suffering from behavioural and emotional difficulties in the UK, and a recent study indicates that one in 14 pre-school children has moderate to severe mental health problems, with up to 20% of adolescents suffering from a psychiatric disorder. In the under-10s, behavioural problems are most common, while serious psychotic disorders do not normally emerge until the teenage years. Against this background, there is growing concern that services for young people with these problems are being cut.

Article Abstract:
Children who have to deal with the attention of a friend who clings too much and prevents them from developing other friendships can suffer considerable emotional distress. In many cases, parents and teachers fail to recognize what is happening, and may even encourage the child concerned to make allowances for the friend. It is often children who are good at empathizing with others who attract a very clingy friend, while the children who cling are those who have not yet learned to be aware of the feelings of others.
