Rock on Tommy
Article Abstract:
It is now many years since the rock opera 'Tommy' was first performed, but it continues to have a great influence on modern rock bands such as Cast. It speaks directly to young people, according to John Power, Cast's leader and song-writer, and continues to make very important statements. It inspires the modern generation in the same way in which Townshed drew inspiration from key music figures of the 1940s when he was writing it.

No more Mr Twiggy
Article Abstract:
The life of Justin de Villeneuve, who discovered Twiggy in the 1960s and was her partner for some years, has now been made into a musical, 'A Fake's Progress.' This stars Paul King, who performs wearing a kabuki mask. This reflects the fact that de Villeneuve feels that he invented himself. He lived a very expensive lifestyle in the 1960s, but now seems a much more conventional character.
