Joy unconfined
Article Abstract:
The National Gallery in London, England, is currently staging an exhibition entitled 'Making and Meaning: Rubens's Landscapes.' This is based around 'An Autumn Landscape with a View of Het Steen in the Early Morning,' painted by Rubens in around 1636. This is one of his most beautiful paintings, and shows very clearly the panoramic nature of his genius. The exhibition includes many of the artist's best landscapes, along with all his existing landscape drawings and a number of his informal oil paintings.

Alberto the thief
Article Abstract:
The Royal Academy in London, England, is currently holding a retrospective exhibition of the work of sculptor Alberto Giacometti. His work can be split into three distinct groups: his so-called Surrealist period, in the late 1920s and early 1930s, works of transition, in the 1940s, and the statuary which characterises the last 20 years of his life. His main contribution to 20th century sculpture was the extremely thin figure, as seen in 'Walking Man,' produced in 1947.
