Rory Calhoun
Article Abstract:
Actor Rory Calhoun came from a very poor family and became involved in crime at an early age. He gained a contract with 20th Century-Fox through meeting film star Alan Ladd while working as a cowboy. He made his screen debut in the 1944 film 'Something for the Boys.' His big break came in 1945, when he appeared in 'The Great John L.' In 1958, he formed his own company to produce 'Apache Territory,' but this was not successful. Later in 1958, he began the television series 'The Texan.'

Jack Lemmon

Actor Jack Lemmon was born in Boston, MA, in 1925. He graduated from Phillips Andover Academy in 1943 and then entered Harvard, where he began acting. His first professional stage role was in Tolstoy's 'The Power of Darkness.'
