Sexy, moral and packing a pistol
Article Abstract:
American 20th century literature has generally portrayed women as clearly being either good or bad, according to Sara Paretsky, author and visiting fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford University, England. The good women cannot act effectively, while the bad women can, but only in committing evil deeds. It proved hard when creating feminist detective VI (Victoria) Warshawski to break away from this mould. This character is intended to be both a sexual being and a moral person. Her sexuality does not prevent her from making clear moral judgements and taking appropriate action. She is a woman of action, but her main role is to speak.

The moral trust between the people and their President
Article Abstract:
It is impossible to argue that whatever took place between President Bill Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky is a private matter. There is a strong bond between the American people and the presidency, and ordinary people make Presidents part of their lives. If a President becomes untrustworthy, as seems to be the case with Clinton, he can no longer govern. It is clear that Clinton has been reckless, assuming that rules that apply to most ordinary people do not apply to him.
