Article Abstract:
Satellite television concern BSkyB has appointed Elisabeth Murdoch, the daughter of media magnate Rupert Murdoch, who controls the company, as its new general manager, broadcasting. She has had experience in various areas of television broadcasting, and has recently been running two television stations in north Carolina. She is extremely ambitious, and some observers believe that she may eventually compete with her brother, Lachlan, for the top position at News Corp.
