Listening to the grapevine ...
Article Abstract:
It is possible to grow grapes in a very small garden in the UK, as long as the correct variety is selected. The most popular variety, Reisling Sylvaner, is not really very successful, and requires the application of chemicals to deal with rot and mildew. It is better to choose a variety such as 'Triomphe d'Alsace,' which requires no spraying. Red wines are generally much more successful in the UK than white ones.

Flowerpot to cooking pot
Article Abstract:
There are many edible herbs which are both easy to grow and pleasant to eat. These include sorrel, which grows best in grassy places in cool, moist soil, garlic chives, which can form a decorative edging in a herb garden, and basil, which must be grown on its own. Some herbs, such as sweet cicely and fennel, are better grown for their appearance than for their taste.
