Some creatures should stay at home
Article Abstract:
The introduction by humans of animals and plants to parts of the world where these species have not previously existed has become the second most important cause of species loss. Alien animals and plants often have a very negative impact on native species, with biodiversity suffering as a result. Sometimes, a species introduced to destroy a pest becomes a pest itself. In other cases, introduced species simply breed more successfully than native species.
