Spy's books tells MI5's embarrassing secrets
Article Abstract:
Anthony Holland, a former MI5 and MI6 agent now living in Australia, is to publish a book in summer 1998 which could cause considerable embarrassment to MI5. The book reveals that Holland was involved in gathering evidence of an alleged gay affair between a Conservative MP and Conservative peer Lord Robin Maugham. According to Holland, MI5 regarded the MP as a possible security danger. He believes that the evidence was obtained in order to be used against the MP at a later date.
