City views Treasury forecasts as too optimistic

The UK Treasury has left its forecast for economic growth in 2001 unaltered at 2.25% to 2.75%. In contrast, City of London economists have scaled down their growth predictions, with the average forecast dropping from 2.6% to 2.2%.

Security fears overshadow world trade summit
