We don't need one more drink
Article Abstract:
The UK government's recent move to lift accepted safe alcohol levels highlights the fact that it remains very unwilling to alienate the alcohol industry. It has been under great pressure from the alcohol industry for some time to modify sensible drinking limits, and now seems to be giving the message to ordinary people that it is safe to drink more and more often. This comes at a time when around one third of men and 10-15% of women already drink more than existing recommended sensible limits.

Lib-Dems focus on improving schools
Article Abstract:
The economic priorities of a future Liberal Democrat government in the UK would be to create stability, boost long-term investment and encourage enterprise and small business. In education, the party would double the amount of funding available for books and equipment within a year and could cut primary school class sizes to less than 30. It would put an additional 3,000 police officers on the beat within a year, and would increase taxes on pollution while reducing income tax.
