Terror suspects can be detained without trial
Article Abstract:
The UK government's Emergency (Anti-Terrorist) Bill, a response to the terrorist attacks in the US, will contain a number of controversial measures, including detention of suspected terrorist without trial. Suspected terrorist will no longer have access to judicial review, and it will be possible for asylum claims to be rejected if that person is seen as a threat to security.

Such a facile response to terrorism
Article Abstract:
It is important to avoid preconceptions when considering the wider issues relating to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. It is now time to look seriously at the sources of religious fervour and fanaticism and about why some people are willing to abandon their individuality within a collective cause.
