The UK's new export: Brit Grit
Article Abstract:
Many Americans have become tired of the qualities which have traditionally been associated with British life, such as not showing emotion and insisting on considerable formality. Against this background, they are welcoming the fact that Britons now seem to be changing their attitudes. This has been shown in particular in connection with the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Ordinary people have been showing their emotions in public, and there has been a new feeling of warmth. This is also reflected in the film 'The Full Monty,' which is set to be extremely successful in the US.
