The gay, the sad and the ugly
Article Abstract:
Actress Kathy Burke wanted to shock people with her latest character, Linda in Jonathan Harvey's new situation comedy 'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme.' She believes that the fact that this character is so vile makes her believable. She enjoys playing grotesque characters, as she feels that these are the closest she can get to a male role. She believes that her earthy appearance is an advantage, as directors know that she is not at all influenced by vanity.

He shoots aliens, doesn't he?
Article Abstract:
Being black is an advantage in Hollywood today, according to actor Will Smith. He finds it difficult to cope with having a high public profile, and feels that he needs to defend himself against having his privacy invaded. His early working life focused on music, and he still regards music as very important.
