The grass is always greener
Article Abstract:
The contemporary art scene in Scotland has become more vigorous and worldly over recent years. The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art continues to stage large retrospectives of dead Scottish artists and the National Galleries of Scotland have shown little interest in curatorial exploration. However, contemporary art spaces are beginning to show confidence to address internationalism, rather than provincialism. It is vital to ensure that the Scottish art scene constantly develops on the basis of genuine critical debate.

Glasgow's hottest supermodel
Article Abstract:
Homes for the Future, a 10 million pounds sterling housing development in Glasgow, Scotland, is being constructed on a 1.3 acre former industrial site. The 100 mixed-use houses have a number of interesting features, including cedar wood cladding and broad, deep-set, powder-coated profiled aluminium window frames. Time constraints made it impossible to introduce energy-efficient or sustainable features.
