The guns have stopped firing, but the war goes on
Article Abstract:
The city of Srebrenica was the scene for the slaughter of many Muslims during the war in former Yugoslavia. It is now inhabited by Serbs who fled from Muslim towns and cities at the end of the war, and conditions there remain very harsh. The Dutch United Nations troops stationed in the city failed to protect its Muslim residents, and the wreckage of the United Nations base which remains bears strong witness to that failure. Only a few Serbs will admit privately to the atrocities which took place in Srebrenica.

Serb losses make mockery of maps
Article Abstract:
Many Serb refugees are fleeing to Banja Luka, the stronghold of the Bosnian Serbs in northern Bosnia, as the Croat-Muslim offensive proceeds rapidly in western Bosnia. The Bosnian Serbs fear that the Croatian troops could soon reach the suburbs of Banja Luka, and also believe that the Sarajevo government is targeting half of the Serb Bosanska Krajina. They are now facing disaster in Bosnia, and claim that they have been deserted by their own leaders.

Evil lives on in Bosnia's fields of death
Article Abstract:
Bosnians, Serbs and Croats are all becoming involved in exhuming bodies in Bosnia. This allows the relatives of the dead to grieve properly, and also gives a clear sign that the truth must be uncovered and acknowledged. It may take many years for all the bodies to be exhumed, especially in areas where local residents are keen for outsiders not to know about the atrocities which took place at the height of the conflict.
