The innocent
Article Abstract:
Renate Williams has been cleared of charges of indecent assault on a 15-year-old male pupil at the private boarding school where she taught drama. However, there is still a strong sense in which she has been punished, even though she was not guilty. She behaved inappropriately in some ways, but she has been found to be the victim of serious lies by her alleged victim and some of his contemporaries. She will never be able to escape doubts about her character, and her career as a teacher has been effectively brought to an end.

Second writ lodged over RAC windfalls
Article Abstract:
Legal action will commence in the High Court involving 220 retired RAC members who will attempt to claim damages and costs from the 17 members of the UK motoring organisation's committee. Members are upset that they were not entitled to windfall cash stemming from the acquisition of RAC's rescue services for GB 450mn. They are claiming that the RAC did not inform them that a sale was in the offing when they ceased becoming full members of the group.
