The little brother makes good
Article Abstract:
Accountancy regulation in the UK should be the responsibility of the Financial Reporting Council, according to Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Cima) Pres Peter Layhe. However, his organization will back proposals by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales for reforming accountancy regulation if they are approved by the Dept of Trade and Industry. He believes that there is now strong confidence in the value of the Cima qualification, reflected in the fact that the organization has more than 60,000 student members.
