The new high priest of fashion
Article Abstract:
Pope John Paul II is shortly to launch a range of sunglasses, T-shirts and leather items. His name is being used on the range to raise money for Project 2000, which sends young Catholics on pilgrimages. The idea of the Pope being involved with fashion has generally been well accepted. Designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who has designed robes for the Pope, feels that this is an acceptable move for the Pope as it is for a good cause.
