The roll of the river
Article Abstract:
Visitors to Glasgow, Scotland, can use the city as a base from which to travel by steamer up the river Clyde. Travelling in this way gives a fascinating insight into Glasgow's maritime history. There are still a few working shipyards along the river, but shipbuilding is now much less significant in Glasgow than it was at the end of the 19th century. It takes around three hours to travel by steamer to Bute Island, where visitors can spend time in the attractive town of Rothesay.

Paris
Article Abstract:
It is very easy to take a day from the UK to Paris, France, where the visitor may simply wish to stroll around the city's many attractive streets. There is a great deal to see, but the visitor may choose to adopt a leisurely pace, stopping regularly for a rest. The centre of Paris is naturally contained by the Boulevard Peripherique ring road, and it does not really matter where the visitor wanders within that area.

Murphy's lore
Article Abstract:
County Westmeath attracts fewer visitors than other parts of Ireland, even though it has a rich history and an attractive landscape. The few people who visit Mullingar, its county town, receive a warm welcome, particularly during the second week in Jul, when it holds its annual International Bachelor Contest. Mullingar is also a good place to join the Fore Trail, a motoring or cycling tour which travels north-east.
