The secret desires of ordinary men
Article Abstract:
The Public Health Research Unit in Glasgow undertook a survey of 100 men who visited prostitutes and found that most were married and kept their visits secret, but their reasons for going varied. Most wished to ask the prostitute to do things they could not ask their partner to do. Men do not confide in other men for fear of being thought inadequate. Wives and girlfriends are being kept ignorant of possible health risks of sexually transmitted diseases. Under 5% of European prostitutes are infected with HIV but the risk of infection exists even if condoms are used.

A secret weapon to swell the male ego
Article Abstract:
Pharmaceutical company Pfizer is seeking US Food and Drug Administration approval for a drug which is said to boost sexual response. It is not an aphrodisiac, as it cannot stimulate sexual desire. However, it blocks the effect of an enzyme which causes male erections to subside, and therefore boosts the erection when sexual desire is already present. It is also reported to sustain sexual arousal in women. If it proves really effective, then it could be a very welcome alternative to current treatments for impotence.

Reflections of all your desires
Article Abstract:
Mirrors can play a key role in interior design, creating an illusion of great space and light. Some observers have expressed the view that the unwise use of mirrors has given them a rather vulgar image. However, mirrors can still transform a room when used with care. Mirror glass can be purchased very inexpensively, and it is therefore worth experimenting with using mirrors in many different locations within the home.
