The silence of the grave, ghoulishly broken
Article Abstract:
It is becoming clear that Diana, Princess of Wales, played an active role in the writing of Andrew Morton's 1992 book 'Diana - Her True Story.' Morton never met her directly, but questioned her extensively through intermediaries. She denied at the time that she had cooperated with the book, but it is now clear that she sanctioned her friends to speak to Morton. The new edition of the book which is to be released on Oct 6, 1997, goes some way towards puncturing the myth which has surrounded her since her death.

Royal Family pray while Fayed unveils a shrine and a curse
Article Abstract:
The Royal Family has chosen to mark the first anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, in a quiet, solemn way. In contrast, Mohamed Al Fayed, whose son Dodi died in the same car crash, has set up 8ft-high shrines to Diana, Princess of Wales, and his son inside Harrods, which he owns, and has placed books of condolence in the store. He has stated that he feels that ordinary people support him in his efforts to discover who was responsible for the car crash.

Stranger in the House of Fayed
Article Abstract:
Links between Diana, Princess of Wales and the Fayed family have attracted attention in the United Kingdom press. Diana has been linked to Dodi Fayed, Mohamed Al Fayed's son, but appears to be on good terms with all the family. Mohamed Al Fayed is seen as avuncular and likely to be a good antidote to Diana's experiences with the British royal family. Both he and Diana are seen asoutsiders, and this could also be a reason for the link between the two.
