The spook the leak the editor & his rival
Article Abstract:
Rumours that Sunday Telegraph editor Dominic Lawson, son of former UK Chancellor Nigel Lawson, has been identified as the editor whom former MI6 officer Richard Tomlinson claimed had been recruited as a paid MI6 agent have attracted considerable controversy. Some observers believe that these rumours have been fuelled by the Guardian, with which Lawson has previously come into conflict. Newspapers, subject to libel laws, were not allowed to name the suspected agent, but Lawson was named by MPs Brian Sedgemore and George Galloway, who are protected by parliamentary privilege.
