It's not always easy talking to a sage
Article Abstract:
The work of Japanese dancer and choreographer Saburo Teshigawara is based on a philosophy which combines elements of Zen and 1960s western radicalism. He has gained a strong following over the last 30 years, and still appeals to younger people. His choreography comes from the very breath, bodies and emotions of the performers, and his work has a strong element of undiluted human emotion.
