Make it safe, but keep it free
Article Abstract:
There are considerable problems associated with trying to censor material on the Internet. It is understandable that governments wish to remove child pornography, for example, from the Internet, but in other cases it can be very difficult to define whether material is suitable to be accessed by the general public, including children. Technologies used to block access to certain Internet sites can actually be counter-productive, as they may prevent children seeing useful and informative material.

Little brother is watching you
Article Abstract:
Surveillance equipment is increasingly being used by ordinary people in the United Kingdom as new technology has become more accessible. This has sometimes involved neighbors and landlords spying on the intimacy of couples. United Kingdom law has not kept pace with technological trends, and cameras may be legally concealed, if trespass does not occur. Cameras may also be used by hospitals in cases where child abuse is suspected, or for security reasons.
