There is so much more to say
Article Abstract:
A journalist recounts her experiences of reporting on the inquiry into the police investigation of the murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence. Her shock at realizing that police officers only ever interact with black people as criminals is expressed, and the impression she gained of police officers as evasive and complacent is detailed. In a prison cell, the man overshadowing the case
Article Abstract:
The police investigation into the racially-motivated murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence in 1993 was hampered by Clifford Norris, a known criminal whose son David was a key suspect in the crime. Norris spread fear among teenage witnesses, and it has emerged that he had links with at least one officer in the Metropolitan Police. He was able to remain on the run from the police for six years, but was arrested and imprisoned in 1994.
