Switch on - and you're in business
Article Abstract:
It has become increasingly common for MBA courses to include an IT element, although there is still considerable variation between institutions in the sophistication with which the potential of IT is exploited. The Open University Business School has been a driving force in the use of IT, and at present has seven multi-media CD-Roms in production for MBA courses. It encourages online collaboration and group work through a closed computer-mediated conferencing system. MBA students at Cranfield can access intranet technology from their own PCs.

Study abroad - if you want a global career
Article Abstract:
Studying for an MBA at a business school abroad can give potential senior managers valuable experience of the international business climate. Students learn to address the challenges of different social and business cultures, and this prepares them effectively for working with foreign partners. Many overseas MBAs are taught in English, so a good working knowledge of the language of the country in which the school is situated is not necessary. The Association of MBAs offers advice on choosing a business school abroad.
