Thus spake the little mad man
Article Abstract:
Comedian Simon Munnery, who appears on stage as the League Against Tedium, feels that people can no longer tolerate comedians who pretend to like them. He wanted to create a bizarre, camp character who is very different from conventional comedians. His act was inspired by Nietzche's 'Beyond Good and Evil,' which appeals to Munnery because of the conciseness of its aphorisms and its similarity to advertising. He believes that the League Against Tedium is accessible to anybody.

David Baddiel and Rob Who?
Article Abstract:
Comedian Rob Newman believes that being out of the limelight for a while since his double act with David Baddiel broke up may have benefited his career. He feels that spending some time in obscurity may have given him a certain mystique. He is attracted to the spontaneity of live comedy, and does not really like appearing on television. He cannot identify with the cynical tone adopted by many stand-up comedians, and is more attracted to comedians who are vulnerable.
