Blair rounds on 'useless, pathetic' Hague over sleaze
Article Abstract:
UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has launched a strong counter-attack against Conservative party leader William Hague. He has fiercely defended colleagues he believes to be innocent of the charges made against them by the Conservative party, and has dismissed the Conservative opposition as 'useless and pathetic.' He has criticized the Conservative party for trying to suggest that the government has the same problems with sleaze and scandal that afflicted the previous Conservative administration.

At last, people are taking Mr Hague seriously
Article Abstract:
The UK government appears to be in a very strong position, with Prime Minister Tony Blair being much more powerful than Conservative party leader William Hague. However, the Conservative party has now drawn up a considerable number of policies, a few of which are quite imaginative. This new focus on policies can be interpreted as an important change in tactics. The Conservative party does not expect to win the next election, but it now has many themes over which most members will unite.
