Trackers on a steady trail
Article Abstract:
The costs associated with tracker funds are much lower than those for actively managed funds, as they do not require expensive fund managers. Funds tracking either the FTSE All Share Index or the FTSE 100 have become extremely popular in the UK. Some companies, including Scottish Widows, now offer global, international trackers, and it is also possible to invest in a number of funds that track a range of overseas markets. However, it is important to be aware that there are significant differences in how trackers perform in well established markets and how they perform elsewhere.
