Article Abstract:
Some animal rights activists seem to have little concern for animal welfare, according to animal trainer Mary Chipperfield. She believes that these activists regard the animal rights movement as a way of obtaining publicity for a political cause. She feels that animals deserve compassion, respect and care, but that they should not be seen as people, with the same rights as people. She believes that elephants and primates are the most intelligent animals.
