Turks revel in morbid celebration as Ocalan is condemned to death
Article Abstract:
Kurds across Europe have expressed their opposition to the decision to condemn Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Ocalan to death. In contrast, relatives of those killed while fighting the PKK have been rejoicing. Ocalan himself now seems to have accepted that death is inevitable, and made a dignified speech before the sentence was passed. He has warned that his death will spark off considerable violence.
