UK: HEALTH BENEFITS OF RAW ONION JUICE
Article Abstract:
Researchers from Taiwan have discovered that the juice from raw and freshly squeezed Welsh onions has a range of health benefits, including the reduction of blood pressure and anti-thrombotic effects. Rats fed on onion juice for one month became both anti-thrombotic and anti-hypertensive, with effects starting to set in after only two days. Boiled onions, however, were seen to have no effect. The researchers are now seeking to extend their investigation.
