UK: "PORN SWEEPER" REVEALED
Article Abstract:
Content Technologies of Berkshire has developed Porn Sweeper, a software device that monitors the amount of human skin on displaying any file. This data is compared with a database of typical pornography and then it decides whether the message is allowed through. Pornographic images are routed to IT specialists, allowing managers to discuss the matter with employees. The system can be tailored so that a company can decide acceptable levels of nudity. It follows the sacking of 40 employees of the Orange mobile phone company for sending pornography via company systems.
