UK: MORE TIME SPENT WATCHING TV
Article Abstract:
Television viewing provides an increasing number of families with a structure to their week and a reason to spend time together, according to a new survey from NOP Solutions, a market research company. The survey found four out of five people do not watch TV on their own. It also found that people are also spending more time watching TV, with 21% of people watching for over 36 hours per week. The hours could increase with the growth of interactive TV services. The change in lifestyles could impact health levels, with children growing up unused to active exercise.
