UK literacy at worrying levels, says world study

There is a significant gap between the literacy abilities of the top 10% and the bottom 10% of adults in the UK, according to a report by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. Around 7 million adults cannot write, read or communicate up to the level they would require in the business environment.
