Vesta and Ashton
Article Abstract:
Variety and circus performers Audrey Grimaldi, known as Vesta, and John Austin, known as Ashton, died together in a crash in Orlando, FL. Ashton's professional career began in 1925, and in 1932 he established his own musical act with two partners. Vesta showed a talent for music and dance at an early age, and at 12 joined a semi-professional show. They met in 1939 and married the same year. They worked in several stage circuses in the UK, but in 1955 went to South America and then to North America, where they remained for the rest of their lives.
