What our children really need is a regime of benign neglect
Article Abstract:
It is natural that parents wish to protect their children from potential danger, but there are now signs in the UK of this being taken to extremes. In many cases, measures to protect children are far more extensive than the potential danger, often extremely small, really requires. There is a risk that children will be unable to learn how to look after themselves or take responsibility for their behaviour. Taking sensible precautions is correct, but it is important to be aware of the possible negative repercussions of seeking to control every detail of children's lives.

The winners take it all
Article Abstract:
The world's leading brands have become extremely valuable and have established a very dominant market position. As the economy becomes increasingly weightless, the largest brands will be in a very strong position.
