To believe nothing flows from TV violence is implausible
Article Abstract:
It seems implausible to believe that the many scenes of rape, murder and other forms of violence shown on television do not affect society in any way. However, it is also necessary to consider the impact of violence in the home, which may affect children before they grow old enough to be interested in watching television and videos, and to recognize that television affects different people in different ways. Children who grow up in a violent environment are the most vulnerable to violent material on television.

The most important decision BBC governors will make
Article Abstract:
It can be assumed that there will be genuine competition between the candidates for the post of BBC Director General. However, it is important that the governors of the BBC avoid a number of potential mistakes when making their selection. They should not listen to those who say that it is not necessary to choose a broadcasting professional, and must also avoid downgrading the Director General's role. It may now be time to make an internal appointment to this post.
