Writing on the wall for Belgrade
Article Abstract:
Ex-mayor of Belgrade Professor Bogdanovic is threatened because he wrote an open letter condemning the eighth session of the Serbian League of Communists in 1987. His statements on television and radio were perceived as a call for foreign intervention. The magazine Vreme pursues Mihaly Kertesz, previously assistant to the State Secretary of the federal Ministry of the Interior. He is considered responsible for special operations in Bosnia and Croatia. Mr Panic is looking for connections between Milosevic and war crimes.

The Vera Lynn of Belgrade woos crowds
Article Abstract:
Pop singer Svetlana Raznatovic, known as Ceca, has played a key role in boosting Serbian morale in the light of air attacks by Nato in response to the treatment of ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. At a recent concert she sang songs designed to appeal to Serbian pride and to eliminate any question of atrocities against Albanians. She is a heroine to the 'Tigers,' a group of troops headed by her husband Zelijko Raznatovic, known as Arkan, who has been indicted for war crimes in Bosnia.

Belgrade displays its own casualties of the battle
Article Abstract:
The Yugoslav authorities have been unwilling to release precise details about the number of civilians killed or wounded in Nato air strikes. However, it is clear that some civilians have sustained serious injuries. Some of the casualties are being treated at Serbian Clinical Centre in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Staff here are worried about what will happen if Nato targets nearby official buildings such as the Interior Police Ministry.
