Article Abstract:
The so-called food renaissance in the UK has taken place almost entirely in London, England, according to columnist AA Gill, who writes on television, politics and restaurants in the Sunday Times. He believes that those who visit restaurants outside London are simply not prepared to pay the high prices that can be demanded by restaurants within London. He is critical of chefs who follow food fashions, believing that the best chefs are those who are willing to try new ingredients but do not switch constantly between ingredients, never really learning to cook new dishes properly.
